Foot-and-mouth disease in the UK - Classical swine fever in Spain

The Standing Veterinary Committee (SVC) yesterday voted in favour of a European Commission proposal extending the area from which the United Kingdom (UK) is allowed to export live porcine and bovine animals and fresh porcine, bovine, ovine and caprine meat to all of the UK, with exception of some counties in the middle of Great Britain (Northumberland, Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Durham and some small areas around these counties).
